Clypeus [ˈkly.pɛ.us] – also Clipeus – referred to the round shield of early Roman soldiers. Later, it was awarded as a distinction for exceptional bravery, justice, and mercy. In biology, the term describes the protective head armor of arthropods.

Clypeus represents our mission: To resolutely protect our clients’ most valuable know-how from cyber attacks – with clear risk awareness and disciplined implementation. We view cybersecurity from an economic conflict perspective: Investments must match the value of the information. Our goal? To make attacks so costly that they are no longer worthwhile for adversaries.

The Company

Clypeus Horizon GmbH was founded in 2025 in the Canton of Zurich. Our aim: To efficiently implement complex cybersecurity projects – from strategic consulting to operational realization.

As a Swiss company, we embody precision, trustworthiness, and an international bridging function. We support businesses of all sizes (SMEs to corporations) in meeting regulatory requirements and sustainably protecting their assets. Consulting in German, English, and French.
